Quảng Ninh masters claim high position at national chess club champs

THÁI NGUYÊN — Quảng Ninh finished second in the National Chess Clubs Cup which wrapped up in Thái Nguyên on November  三0.

After five days of competitions, Quảng Ninh claimed  一 一 golds, seven silvers and  一 二 bronzes.

Among winners are Nguyễn Ngọc Thảo Nguyên who pocketed one individual and two team golds in the girls' U 九 class; Nguyễn Xuân Trường who bagged one individual and one team titles in the boys' U 一 三; Vũ Gia Bảo who took one individual and two team golds and one individual silver in the boys' U 一 三.

Hà Nội's Future Master Club took the top podium with  一 六 golds. Cao Bằng Province came third with eight golds.

The Cup was organised by the Việt Nam Chess Federation and the Thái Nguyên Province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Almost  七 五0 athletes from  四 二 teams took part in the event's age categories ranging from seven to  一 七 for amateur athletes and pro masters.  — VNS
